Quality Assurance Engineer
We are looking for a junior-level developer with an eye for detail and the patience for perfection.
Background
You should have an undergrad education in Computer Science or a related field, combined with or followed by at least one year of industry or equivalent experience.
At least some of your experience should have familiarized you with testing frameworks and methodologies. Familiarity with our specific technologies is preferred.
Being comfortable working with numeric data in any way (e.g. Excel, R, pandas) is a plus, but not required.
Technologies
Our current test coverage is black-box regression testing written in cypress and Pytest.
System-observability is managed via Grafana, which monitors k8s clusters running several separate instances of our Knosc web-application.
Responsibilities
After being familiarized with the system, we want you to initially focus on our test-coverage, expanding and enhancing the existing coverage. We have a backlog of coverage to achieve, and a queue of additional features that will need coverage as we develop them.
As you grow familiar with the system, user-expectations and our infrastructure, you should become comfortable working on the infrastructure we use to monitor system-reliability, errors and performance.
Growth Expectations
In the mid-term future this is an opportunity to expand into system-analysis and observability, DevOps and/or more general software engineering roles.
QA should make you intricately familiar with our system requirements, and hence invaluable to our long-term project goals.
